        Studio L is a small landscape design fi rm based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The studio draws inspiration from the natural environment, the cultural landscape of New Mexico, and local materials and details to create gardens that feel timeless and rooted in place. Studio L focuses on thoughtful, eclectic solutions paired with one-of-a-kind details that give each landscape its own identity.   

      
Whitney Couchoud holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin. During her time at UT, she received several academic honors, including design excellence awards, and was recognized by the American Society of Golf Course Architects as a Wadsworth Scholar.

Whitney began her career in golf course architecture with Dye Designs, the fi rm established by renowned golf course architect Pete Dye. She later worked with several landscape architecture fi rms, gaining experience across public parks, commercial developments, multifamily communities, schools, institutional projects, and private residences. She has worked in the landscape architecture and design fi eld since 2021.
